Wayans announced that he\u2019ll be quitting Fox\u2019s action drama after production on the third season. In an interview with Electronic Urban Report, the actor said the season kicked off on the 25<sup>th<\/sup> of September. In the interview, Wayans emphasized that he was done with the show and too old to be doing it.<\/p>\n<p>The actor\/comedian said that he was going to return to the stage to try and find his smile again. After he had been asked what he&#8217;ll be doing next after Lethal Weapon. Wayans said he had to look at himself in the eye and ask who he was.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt can\u2019t all be about word,\u201d the actor said.<\/p>\n<p>He talked about his big, loving family and how he hasn\u2019t been able to see them. He missed all the family gatherings, his grandkids, the recitals and the graduations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s not worth it. There&#8217;s a better way to live life,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<h2>Lethal Weapon\u2019s Problems<\/h2>\n<p>His announcement came after a rocky few months for the TV series. And Fox renewed Lethal Weapon for a 13-episode 3<sup>rd<\/sup> season earlier this year. Former co-lead Clayne Crawford was fired in May. This is after being reprimanded numerous times for his on-set behaviour. In July, Seann William Scott joined the series as Crawford&#8217;s replacement, playing Murtaugh&#8217;s new partner, Wesley Cole.<\/p>\n<p>Lethal Weapon is a TV remake of the buddy cop movie franchise featuring Mel Gibson and Danny Glover. The series follows a pair of mismatched cops, Roger Murtaugh and Wesley Cole. Roger Murtaugh is an ageing detective with a family and Wesley Cole is a former CIA operative.
